Sly & Robbie was a Jamaican musician and producer duo, consisting of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist / keyboardist Robbie Shakespeare (RIP 2021). The duo became known for their reggae and dub productions and played a key role in shaping the reggae rhythms of the 1970s and 1980s. Sly & Robbie are regarded as being among the most creative and important figures in the history of reggae. No other band has been involved in such a significant number of groundbreaking musical innovations in such a decisive manner over such an extended period. The band has been honored with multiple Grammy awards, a testament to their exceptional artistic achievements.

In 2014, their album “Underwater Dub” was released on Groove Attack / Slam Records (GAP116), as well as the single “Bed’s Too Big” (GAP117). The songs on “Underwater Dub” were recorded in collaboration with producer Alberto Blackwood at the renowned Harry J Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. The complete artwork, across all formats, was conceived and designed by myself.
