Sly & Robbie were a Jamaican musical duo consisting of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist/keyboardist Robbie Shakespeare, who passed away in 2021. They became renowned for their reggae and dub productions, playing a pivotal role in shaping the genre’s rhythms during the 1970s and 1980s. They are widely regarded as being among the most creative and important figures in the history of reggae. No other band has been involved in such a significant number of groundbreaking musical innovations over such an extended period. They have been honoured with multiple Grammy Awards, which is a testament to their exceptional artistic achievements.

In 2014, they released the album “Underwater Dub” on Groove Attack/Slam Records (GAP116), as well as the single “Bed’s Too Big” (GAP117). The songs on “Underwater Dub” were recorded in collaboration with producer Alberto Blackwood at the renowned Harry J Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. I conceived and designed the complete artwork for all formats.
